Islington Carers Hub is a not for profit organisation that supports the local area, focussing on helping those who are seeking information, help and support with caring for a friend/relative that has an illness or disability.
Their previous wordpress site was old, basic, tricky to navigate, slow and didn’t instil the values of the organisation in today’s modern environment.
They turned to Web Wonderland for advice.. then a new website..

The task in hand.
A seamless handover was paramount on this project, being able to continue to provide access for their many users was of utmost importance. As well as modernisation of the whole offering, ease of navigation was key as was accessibility, working with elements such as font sizes, load times and even foreign languages. The brief was to bring the organisation into the 21st century, ensure the site was light, fast and welcoming, the content, easy to find and navigate. The brief was clear, we got to work..
What we did.
Working with the team we drew up a schedule of key timings to facilitate a smooth access to information for the sites users. Utilising ICH’s style guides, we devised a modern website that not only conveyed professionalism, confidence and support. But one that was easy to navigate, was fully accessible, and quick to load. Web Wonderland also implemented a new CMS back end which allowed the team to update the site themselves, which was vital for the small team to upload new content regularly.
The Result.
A fresh, fast, modern website that the charity is able to update themselves that caters for their audiences. An accessible website that has elevated the charity in the local community and benchmarked against others in its industry
