Home Legends

Home Legends came to us as a nucleus of a business idea, just a thought, but a good one, in a local market that clearly needed someone to take it by the horns! Starting by an entrepreneur and some small gardening jobs, Home Legends was born and continues to grow year on year on year.

While word of mouth was great, the brand clearly needed an identity and a website where people could view the full menu of available services and book at their convenience. Home Legends required a presence that demonstrated experience and trust – that’s where Web Wonderland came in.

Initially, for launch we developed some branding with fun and energetic characters that, kitted out in their branded workclothes, demonstrated each service, these were used across the site and all marketing activity.

As the brand grew and we understood more of how the website was navigated by the users, Home Legends underwent a re-brand and re-configuration to incorporate a more ‘grown up’ branding and a sleeker user journey – after all conversion was key!

As this was a brand new business, the task was to launch fast, test, learn and evolve. The initial site and branding was intended to get the business out there and demonstrate the full service offering, ‘under one roof’. Web Wonderland obliged with a functional site that displayed all services, prices and contact details. But it didn’t stop there..

As well as the fun branding, showcasing all services, the Web Wonderland team built a booking engine where the user could purchase and book online. The site was super quick and included all services, an about us, a blog and customer feedback section amongst other pages. Once the site was launched and the business growing rapidly, Web Wonderland were called upon again to understand the user journey, and to optimise the site. The research suggested that the user was not engaging with the booking facilities as their demands on Home Legends were not always black and white. We took the opportunity to simplify the site and the user journey to make the experience much more streamlined and even faster. Removing the animated characters also gave the brand a more ‘grown up’ feel and certainly less cluttered.

The initial branding and site was performing well. Sales were increasing month on month. The re-brand and sleeker site was a game changer, conversion increased exponentially as did bookings. The site was faster, more professional and enabled the user to book and pay in minutes. The new structure also facilitated more effective paid google ads which also helped to drive efficiencies and more bookings!
